WE19: The Ikigai Life Hack

November 7 – 9, 2019

Understanding your “why” is a fundamental aspect of being a great leader and a happy, healthy, and thriving person. Your why is your purpose – the deep-seeded reason you do what you do – and when you understand your why, you can prioritize the parts of your life that embody it, and say no to those that don’t. Ikigai is a Japanese concept that roughly translates to “reason for being.” It lies at the intersection of what you love to do, what you’re good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs. It draws from passion, ability, stability, and service to distill down to your unique purpose. This workshop will discuss the importance and benefits of finding your “why” and lead participants through each aspect of Ikigai with guidance and examples to help discover their own reason for being.
